Words to Change the World – writer call out

We’re seeking a writer local to Aberdeen whose work encompasses environmental themes to be part of an evening celebrating how words can change the world. You’ll read alongside a national author and join a debate on the power of writing, writers and storytellers to create new narratives for the future of our communities, cities, countries and planet. In a bid to put words into action we’ll also be launching a community library on the evening.

The event will take place on Thursday 20 October 6pm – 8pm at the Fittie Community Hall, 7 New Pier Road, Aberdeen, AB11 5DR.

This is a paid opportunity with a fee of £125 attached. There will also be space for you to sell and promote your work. If you do have a publication, we ask that you donate a copy to the Community Library. To apply, please submit one side of A4 showcasing your environmentally themed writing and a short writing biography to producer@openroadltd.co.uk no later than 5pm on Monday 10 October.
